Umi Saionji
Umi Saionji (西園寺 海 Saionji Umi?) is Kenji Narukami's childhood friend, senior, and fiancée. She often wears a hakama and wields a wooden sword. Her sword skills are so advanced that she can defeat monsters with it.
Umi visits Akebono Town to check on Kenji and deduces that Ryukendo is Kenji by observing his sword techniques. Although she returns home once, she visits Akebono Town several times afterward. She is one of the few individuals, apart from S.H.O.T. and the Madan Warriors themselves, who knows the true identities of the Madan Warriors.
However, despite being engaged, Kenji is terrified of her due to childhood trauma. He was relentlessly trained with a wooden sword by her, which has left him haunted by nightmares. He seems to have no intention of getting married. Umi is aware of this and appears to be more supportive of Rin Sakyo instead. Her intense temperament is such that even characters like Jushiro Fudo and Koichi Shiranami cannot assert themselves against her.
